Recently, OBI Park Management Company organized a report on the staged achievements of the OBI TOS (Terminal Operating System, namely the production management system) and a symposium on the new requirements for system development in order to benchmark with leading ports, highlight our own unique features, and further improve the level of port and shipping intelligence.
It was stressed at the meeting that it was necessary to draw on experience from leading domestic ports, sort out key issues such as ship pre-scheduling, ship dynamic querying, full-process recording, and data aggregation, and then jointly analyze deficiencies in the terminal’s production and operations based on the actual situation of the island.
Optimization suggestions for the system project were proposed at the meeting, including establishing a sound terminal database through the TOS, recording production and operating activities throughout the process, making operational data traceable and analyzable, and providing a decision-making basis and reference for subsequent efficiency improvement.
It was required at the meeting that all personnel should do their best to actively participate in and fully support the development, implementation and commissioning of the TOS.
The terminal management personnel at all levels and the East China Electronics TOS R&D team attended the meeting.
The TOS is a management tool with the functions of comprehensive coordinated processing, data visualization and conversion, and comprehensive monitoring of operating processes. It has such advantages as full coverage, communication adaptability, data security, stable operation, and efficient performance. The system updates arrival information of different ships in real time, monitors all aspects in the production process, predicts sailings accurately, and ensures the seamless connection of operations by means of pre-planning, process monitoring, etc., thereby improving production efficiency and ensuring product quality.
