On the afternoon of November 29, Ningbo Charity Federation held the fifth Congress of Members to elect a new council. Zhu Huan was elected president of Ningbo Charity Federation. Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lygend"), the Bank of Ningbo, Ningbo Jintian Copper (Group) Co., Ltd., Youngor, AUX, FOTILE and other enterprises were appointed as honorary president units of the fifth Council of Ningbo Charity Federation.
Peng Jiaxue, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, made an instruction. Qiu Dongyao, Vice Chairman of the 12th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of Zhejiang Provincial Charity Federation, attended the Congress and delivered a speech. Zheng Minqiang, Rong Xuehai, Zhu Huan, Gao Qingfeng and other persons also attended the Congress.
Over the past 10 years, Ningbo Charity Federation has raised RMB 866 million of charity funds and achieved RMB 789 million of assistance expenses, both of which rank first in among the charity federations in Zhejiang Province. Ningbo Charity Federation has innovated and developed ten major assistance brand programs covering such fields as medical assistance, enabling people with disabilities, assisting older people, giving financial aid to students, and poverty alleviation, actively promoted the development of social public welfare undertakings, and won the China Charity Award and Zhejiang Charity Award for many times. Ningbo has been included in the List of China's Top 100 Cities in Terms of Public Welfare and Charity Index for five consecutive times.
As an internationally-oriented Ningbo local enterprise, Lygend has always actively assumed social responsibility with a high sense of social responsibility. In 2022, Lygend donated RMB 20 million to Ningbo Charity Federation for the establishment of Ciji Siming Medical Development Charity Trust, which would be mainly used to promote the development of primary-level medicine and medical services in Ningbo City. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lygend actively donated money, materials and laboratories to help domestic and Indonesia fight the pandemic, reflecting the moral responsibility of the excellent private enterprise and demonstrating a good international responsible image of investment and development of the Chinese enterprise in Belt and Road countries.
Since its establishment, Lygend has cumulatively donated more than RMB 80 million for programs covering charitable undertakings such as sports, medical care, education, and rural revitalization, and through charities, given back to society, and promoted the common progress and harmonious development of the enterprise, society, and local communities.
