On November 21, the Conference on Promoting Belt and Road Cooperation in Zhejiang was held in Jinhua City. The guests from BRI countries and regions jointly discussed cooperation and development.
Cai Jianyong, Chairman of Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lygend"), was invited to attend the Conference. The "Lygend Indonesia OBI Industrial Park Project" and the "Baoxin Special Steel Ferronickel Project (RKEF II)" were included the list of achievements made by Zhejiang Province in pursuing the Belt and Road Initiative.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past ten years, Zhejiang Province has seized the opportunities of the times, taken advantage of being first mover of opening-up and development, built on the positive momentum of the Silk Road, taken the Silk Road spirit of peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, and mutual benefit as a source of strength, and achieved remarkable results.
△Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Wang Hao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and Atabek Abylgaziev, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, delivered speeches.
At the venue of the Conference site, List of Achievements Made by Zhejiang Province in Pursuing the Belt and Road Initiative was released, with a total of 60 items.Among others, the List included 21 industrial projects and parks, such as Lygend Indonesia OBI Industrial Park Project and Baoxin Special Steel Ferronickel Project.
Relying on the driving force from the Belt and Road initiative, Lygend has taken solid steps in going global. Since 2018, Lygend and its Indonesian partners have jointly invested in the construction of laterite nickel ore High-Pressure Acid Leaching and RKEF projects on Indonesia's OBI Island. In less than three years, the Indonesian laterite nickel ore high-pressure acid leaching project built by Lygend, created a Chinese model that amazed the global nickel-cobalt industry, made large-scale exploitation of low-grade laterite nickel ore possible, made advanced technology a powerful tool for Chinese enterprises to obtain resources development opportunities, and provided strong materials supply guarantees for the development of new energy industry.
△Lygend Indonesia OBI Industrial Park High-Pressure Acid Leaching Project
At present, there are three production lines and the nickel sulfate production line for the high-pressure acid leaching project having been put into operation; in addition, there are eight production lines for the RKEF project having been put into operation, creating tens of thousands of job opportunities in the local area and effectively promoting cultural exchange and friendship inheritance between China and Indonesia.
