At 9 a.m. on October 24, 2021 (Eastern Indonesian Time), the Ceremony for the Commissioning Test Run of the Lygend OBI Nickel-Cobalt Project High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) Series II was officially started. Since then, PT. HPAL Company's second production line has officially entered the trial production stage, and the entire High-Pressure Acid Leaching Project Phase I has been fully put into operation, marking the full transition of the Lygend OBI Nickel-Cobalt Project from the construction period to the production period.
Today's Ceremony for the Commissioning Test Run of the Lygend OBI Nickel-Cobalt Project High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) Series II was simple and solemn. The attendees to the Ceremony included the managers on the OBI Island, who were from Lygend HPL and HJF proprietor companies, design entity ENFI, supervisory entity CISDI Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CISDI), and construction companies including China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CC6), Baoye, and Kehong, and some representatives of Chinese and Indonesian employees. The Ceremony was chaired by Shi Wentang, On-site Deputy General Manager of PT. HPAL. He Zhibiao, Project Manager of the construction company CC6, and Tang Shaoren, Project Manager of the supervisory entity CISDI, delivered speeches. On behalf of the proprietor, Wang Xishun, On-site Deputy General Manager of PT. HPAL, delivered a speech.
In his speech, Deputy General Manager Wang Xishun emotionally reviewed the 30-month process of working hard and overcoming difficulties from the commencement of construction of the primary devices of the HPAL Phase I Project in April 2019 to the successful commissioning test run of High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) Series II today. He thanked all the construction companies involved in the construction, CISDI Supervision, ENFI Design Institute, and Lygend colleagues who worked hard side by side. It is the excellence-seeking and hard work of all these entities and employees that has led to today's brilliant achievements. "The barriers of mountains and passes cannot block our aspirations for forging ahead. Throughout the journey, we have resolve and remain confident in ourselves". It took only 3 months of the Project Series I to reach production goals, which was the fastest among the four projects that had reached production goals in the world. We must continue to maintain a positive mindset, ensure the safe, high-quality, long-term and stable operation of the entire devices, make scientific organization and arrangements, rationally control the pace, strengthen areas of weakness, and strive for reaching full production capacity of the entire system as soon as possible!
